TL;DR: Seerguard does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All scan data stays on your device. We use our own Seerguard API to check extension safety — only extension IDs are sent, never your browsing activity.
Seerguard accesses only the following data, all through official Chrome Extension APIs:
chrome.management API.chrome.webRequest.Seerguard uses the following services for threat detection. Only extension IDs are sent — no personal data.
api.crxcavator.io) — Fallback when Seerguard API data is unavailable. Public security tool by Duo Security. Learn more.clients2.google.com) — Verifies if extensions are still available on the store.No personal information is included in any request. Extension IDs are public identifiers shown on the Chrome Web Store.
All scan results, trust scores, change history, settings, and network logs are stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. Settings are synced across your Chrome instances using chrome.storage.sync.
No data is stored on external servers. No accounts are required. No telemetry is collected.
Seerguard does not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party. Period.
Seerguard's source code is available for inspection. You can verify everything stated in this policy by reading the code yourself.
